“Wonderful experience! They have worked hard to make the whole place beautiful with lush gardens and hanging air plants, mosaics and metal art works. They have volunteers who speak English. We saw butterfly eggs, then got to hold a caterpillar, then sas the chrysalises with movement inside as the butterflies try to break out and finally the butterflies hanging on to the chrysalis until they dry out. Then we went into a very large enclosure to see butterflies everywhere among the plants. We sat quietly and the butterflies came and sat on us. After a while, we had to shake them off so we could move on.”

“Unfortunately, the trip is not worth 500 euros by a long shot. Maybe 500.000 COP. The boat trip is done with normal means of transport like all other tourists. We saw many whales, but the trip is not suitable for professional photography. The guide and driver were nice people. It is better to book the trip in the country itself. Unfortunately, it is a complete rip-off.”

“We recently completed the Tres Cruces hike with Mateo and it was excellent. Transport was arranged for us and we were picked up from our hotel and everything was safe and seamless. The hike itself was low to medium difficulty, while there are no complicated scrambles or anything technical, there are lots of steps and rocks to be navigated so wear trail shoes if possible. We came down after dark and were provided with head torches, if you have one you might prefer to bring your own or use phone torch.
