“We had a fantastic guide in Mr. Eduardo Mejia - he answered our questions in great detail, giving us social and environmental contexts, gave us an overview of Colombian history and culture and also made the effort to understand our own cultures, drawing parallels across cultures. And ofcourse he was very patient with our speed of hiking! We loved the park even more because of Mr. Mejia.”

José, Omar, Francisco, Luis, Liz, and other guides have led highly praised outings.

“Ok, my guide Luis said this was the third worst weather he’s seen on this hike. Pouring rain, wind, and basically hiking along (and in) a trail that has turned to a mini river. Despite all of that, I had a freaking blast! My boots are still soaked days later! Luis was such a great guide - from sharing knowledge to actually connecting personally. Seriously such a great time! Didn’t really have any issues with the altitude either, which was my biggest concern. So fun!”

We came down after dark and were provided with head torches, if you have one you might prefer to bring your own or use phone torch. Mateo as a guide was 10/10, he was clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the area and educated us about…”
