Leave Santa Marta by 4x4 for Minca and La Tagua, learn organic coffee production, then stay at Finca Santa Elena before hiking Cerro Kennedy at about 3,000 meters. Guides such as Carlos, Tatiana, Leo, or Leonardo lead the trek, while local hosts prepare meals and share mountain life. Expect a demanding 13-kilometer second day.

“It was an incredible tour: Carlos, Tatjana and their family were so friendly and taught us a lot about Colombian nature and their lives up in the mountains. The views were stunning and the food delicious! Would definitely recommend!”

2.Jardín Private 2-Day Tour with Activities

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 4 reviews · 2 days · from $245Best value

Spend two days in Jardín with a private SUV, an English-speaking guide, and flexible plans. Visit a working coffee farm, ride La Garrucha, and hike to Cueva del Esplendor. Juliana has led several departures, earning praise for friendly, flexible guiding. Accommodation and breakfast are separate, so plan those costs.

“We had a nice visit to Jardín with Juliana, our private guide. We totally enjoyed the coffee tour in a Finca located in the mountains surrounding Jardín. We also enjoyed a little treck to la Cueva del Esplendor, where we have to go down 500 meters to get to the cave. It is quite an exercise on the way up. The trick is to take your time. We did not necessarily have time to walk a lot around Jardín, but what we enjoyed the colorful houses painted in yellow, orange and green.”
